Sol-La-S'Day

'' Sol-La-S’Day '' is an idea, an invitation to you.

This annual event concerns all people of heart, wishing to make a difference in the lives of individuals that may be lonely, sick or aging through the medium of songs.

It consist in creating a small group of friends, students, colleagues, family members or even a choir to go sing, for example, in a home for our elders.

This is a very simple project to achieve. It’s an invitation to live a very rewarding experience humanly speaking, while creating the opportunity to live and share joy. Participating in the ''Sol-La-S’Day'' project, you become, what we like to call "sol-la-singer".

This project is an opportunity to share singing moments, therefore there is no need to be a singer. On site, the group brings a few copies of a song booklet and distributes them to your host. Preparation does not require practice, but rather to create spontaneously a choir with the elderly. One song, one page turned, holding one’s hand, exchange a smile, one look and magic takes place!

The project was created in the province of Quebec in 2005. ''Sol-La-S’Day'' takes place the first Saturday of February every year. Since 2005, through the years, the project has grown and expanded internationally reaching Belgium, Italy, France, Costa Rica, Martinique, Guadeloupe and Senegal.

On ''Sol-La-S’Day'', all of the groups contribute to create a huge wave of love and joy through this chain of songs.
